Buy Bare Escentuals RareMinerals(TM) Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer

Just purchased my 2nd bottle, so obviously I like this product. Lasted for months = cost-effective!

My skin is sensitive (burns easily & can break out on my chin sometimes) & older at 58!

For years (since my 20's!) I religiously used Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid, but one day it was discontinued! Olay got so many complaints, they came out with a new "classic" Beauty Fluid, but it's nothing like the original & totally lacking in the dewy magic of the original (which I now believe was due to pulverized mica!)

I searched for years, trying to find something that could replicate my old Olay, but it also needed to be free of sunscreen - I prefer to add that when needed & I sure don't need sunscreen at night!

I finally settled on Olay Regenerist facial moisturizer. But one day I found myself in a mall with a Bare Escentuals store, & walked in to check it out. I had seen all the infomercials on tv & was intrigued. I had a makeover. (amazing, because I had endured a makeover, years ago, at a fine department store, only to end up looking like Casper the Ghost).

The consultant was an expert. To say I was skeptical would be an understatement. She ignored my cynical remarks after telling me about the particular benefits of each product as she applied them. I had no faith or trust. She said "you'll see" a lot. I gave her a pretty hard time, but she was so confident, she just gave it right back at me! And, when she was finished, my face looked great! Natural, not overdone; smooth, even & fresh! It seemed overwhelming, but I wanted to give this a try - I looked too good to walk away...so I bought soup-to-nuts after getting written & illustrated application instructions & her phone number...

Back to the moisturizer - she told me to use it for a month, & then go back to the Regenerist if I wanted to use up the jar of Olay I had. She even said that she liked my Regenerist product, but that the Purely Nourishing Moisturizer penetrated deeper...yeah, right...

Well, it's been many months & I love this product so much that I haven't tapped into my jar of Regenerist. My skin is happy! The Purely Refreshing moisturizer is creamy, yet light, & my face feels wonderful after application. I look forward to my am & pm face-washing routine. And no break-outs, no strong scent & no sunscreen!

I've also figured out how to manipulate the pump so I can get less or more per pump! I use either light or firm pressure. Light pump for my am application; firm for evening, before bed! And just one pump is all you need!

p.s. I know this review is just for their moisturizer, but for anyone who wants to know what else I bought, here it is. The consultant chose my foundation of golden-medium & it's great! I bought foundation (also can be used as a concealer), rose blush, contouring powder (hardly use now) & Mineral Veil (always use!). I don't use eye shadow & use my own lip glosses so passed on those. I also bought several recommended brushes. My skin care products are the face wash scrub, moisturizer, a spray mist (unnecessary), and a gel that you put on before you brush on the minerals - it makes your skin like a canvas in prep for the mineral powders. It only took a couple of tries to get the application down perfectly. I can now do it in the same amount of time it takes to apply my mascara!

I love the way my face looks now. I'm not in my 20's, but my face looks natural, even-toned & youthful! The Mineral Veil is a true miracle as it sets the foundation & it just feels so undescribably wonderful (I even found some pulverized mica I add to the Mineral Veil to achieve the old Olay "dewy" look again!) I see that the Mineral Veil now comes "illuminated" , so next time, I will buy that one! Best is that my 27 yr old daughter commented on how my skin looks - especially when I add a touch of mica! If you have a daughter, you know that says a lot!
